In The Landed Interest and the Supply of Food James Caird reconsidered the position of British agriculture a generation after the appearance of his High Farming pamphlet and his English Agriculture in 1850 and 1851. Much of this text was devoted to a reconsideration of the structure of landownership and farming, and the relations between landlord and tenant. This is the fifth edition.
